NGINX errors –
encountered similar error
“403 Forbidden” in the webpage access
“13: Permission denied” in the error log at /var/log/nginx/error.log
There can be two reasons for this –
- you are missing the correct directory mapping
- SELinux blocking the connection
To Enable the root Directory in selinux
use below two commands
- semanage permissive -a httpd_t
- restorecon -Rv <path to DIR> e.g.
- restorecon -Rv /u01/cs365/webserver/
