Some time we need to insert documents for a reference into the MS word, Powerpoint or even in Excel. to achieve this, you have various options, like:
1. copy the contents from the document and paste
2. drag and drop (that will make a big annoyed image - as per my openion)
3. Nice way is to insert as an object by following these steps:
i) goto Insert menu
ii) From object tool, click on object and then goto Create from file Tab
iii) Browse the document you want to insert into
iv) check the Display as icon check box and click OK
